概要: 金沢大学医薬保健研究域医学系<br />Purpose The Japanese Society of Nuclear Medicine (JSNM) working group has created a myocardial perfu sion imaging database applicable to standard acquisition protocol. The aim of this study is to validate the diagnostic accuracy of the common normal database compared with the expert interpretation of each institute. Methods Five institutions participated in this study and used different acquisition settings which included 360°/ 180° rotation, camera configuration and camera orbits. The software and its version used in each institution also varied. The working group database was applied to detect the culprit coronary territory from a total of 166 patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) and 145 patients with lowlikelihood of CAD. Results When summed stress score C4 was defined as significant abnormality, overall sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of patient-based analysis were 77, 72 and 75%, respectively, based on quantitative analysis using the common database, whereas those by institutional visual expert reading were 72, 79 and 75%, respectively. Conclusion The common database, which was created by a multi-center working group and separated between male/ female with 180/360° acquisitions, demonstrated comparable diagnostic accuracy to expert interpretation by each institute, and it may be applicable to multi-center studies. 続きを見る

概要: Objective The Subcommittee on the Survey of Nuclear Medical Practice in Japan has performed a nationwide survey of nucle ar medicine practice every 5 years since 1982 to survey contemporary nuclear medicine practice and its changes over the years. Methods The subcommittee sent questionnaires, including the number and category of examinations as well as the kind and dose of the radiopharmaceuticals during the 30 days of June 2012, to all the nuclear medicine institutes. The total numbers for the year 2012 were then estimated. Results A total of 1,167 institutes responded to the survey, including the 14 in vitro assay institutes and 266 PET centers. The recovery rate was 92 %. The number of gamma cameras installed was 1,425 in total, with 9 % decrease in 5 years. Dual-head cameras and hybrid SPECT/CT scanners accounted for 84 and 10.5 %, respectively. The number of single-photon tracer studies in 2012 was 1.15 million which means decrease in 19 % in 5 years and 29 % in 10 years. All but cerebral perfusion study and sentinel lymphoscintigraphy have decreased. Bone scintigraphy was a leading examination (38.7 %), followed by cardiac studies (29.4 %) and cerebral perfusion study (18.5 %) in order. SPECT studies showed an increase from 42.3 to 47.2 %. PET centers have also increased from 212 to 295, as compared to the last survey. The 135 PET centers have installed one or two in-house cyclotrons. PET studies showed 25.5 % increase in 5 years, with oncology accounting for 96.3 %. 18F-FDG accounted for 98.2 % (505,990 examinations). PET examinations using 11C-methionine have been increasing, with 3,352 examinations in 2012. The number of new PET studies using 11C-PIB PET was 695. 131I-radioiodine targeted therapies showed an increase, including 3,644 patients (53.6 %) for thyroid cancer and 4,889 patients (17.9 %) for hyperthyroidism. Out-patient thyroid bed ablation therapy with 30 mCi of 131I accounted for 21.0 % of cancer patients. The number of admission rooms decreased from 158 to 135 in 5 years. In vitro radioassays have been declining continuously since 1992, with the number of studies of 9.0 million in 2012. Conclusions Single-photon examinations showed a continuous tendency toward a decline in the survey. In contrast, the number of hybrid SPECT/CT scanner examinations has increased. PET/CT study in the oncology field and radionuclide targeted therapy have steadily increased. © 2014 The Japanese Society of Nuclear Medicine. 続きを見る

概要: 金沢大学国際基幹教育院高等教育開発・支援系<br />アメリカの事例から、優秀な海外からの人材獲得、研究活動への投資、民主主義、国際的な競争と連携が、世界的な研究大学の条件であるようにみえる。しかし、アジアにおいて、同じことを実現しているの は、香港・シンガポールのみであり、しかも限定的である。他のアジア諸国は、世界的な研究大学の設立よりも、独自の社会構造や経済発展、自国民の要請に対応した高等教育を優先している。そのため、アジアという枠で、一つの高等教育のモデルを特定することはできない。<br />The conditions of World Class Universities are set by American research universities with the recruitment of foreign talent, research investment, democracy, and international competition and cooperation. Such conditions, however, are partially met by Hong Kong and Singapore in Asia. Other Asian countries are more interested in the higher education system which meets their social systems, economic development and the demand of their locals. 概要: 金沢大学国際基幹教育院高等教育開発・支援系<br />ヨーロッパにおける学部教育の変容を、物理学・歴史学・経営学について訪問調査を行い、高等教育機会の拡大と汎用能力の育成への対応を検討した。同じヨーロッパでも、ドイツのような大国では改革速度 が遅く、ベルギー・オランダのような小国では改革速度が速い。また、物理学・歴史学のような伝統的分野では、3年制学士号やカリキュラムの変更、単位互換、海外留学に消極的であり、経営学では柔軟に対応している。これらのことから、ヨーロッパ高等教育圏の構築を目的とするボローニャ・プロセスが、単位互換や教育サイクルのみではなく、他の大学改革の口実となっていることが明らかとなった。<br />This study examined the transformation of undergraduate education after the Bologna Process, focusing on physics, history, and business management. European higher education has tried to cope with the expansion of higher education opportunity and the governmental demand for efficiency. The Bologna Process which focuses on educational system is widely used as a rationale for university reforms. Among European countries, German universities are slow in reform, whereas Belgium and Dutch universities are quick. Traditional disciplines such as physics and history are reluctant to accept three-year bachelors, curricular changes, credit transfer, and study abroad, but in business management these practices are easily accepted. 概要: 金沢大学国際基幹教育院高等教育開発・支援系<br />アジアの有力大学物理学科への訪問調査から、物理学科では、伝統的なカリキュラムや教育方法に忠実で、アクティブ・ラーニングの導入は部分的に止まることが明らかになった。今日、物理教育は、二つの 問題に直面している。一つ目は、意欲と能力の高い学生を確保するために、AO入試の役割が高まっていることである。もう一つは、STEM人材育成のための基礎科目として、他分野の学生を教育する必要性が高まっていることである。いずれについても、これまでのような教育と研究の両立は難しく、新たな教育組織、教育専任の教員によって、教育方法が模索されている。<br />Site visits to major research universities in Asia revealed that physics departments value the traditional curriculum and teaching. The introduction of active learning in the discipline is limited to LMS, flipped classrooms, and some student projects. The departments still focus on the training of researchers.Today, physics education faces two issues. One is the lowering academic standards of entrants. To cope with this, the physics departments are working on their own admissions and subject tests. The other is the rising need to teach physics to non-physics majors. In each case, the traditional ideal of the nexus between teaching and research is becoming difficult to maintain. For this reason, many universities set up physics teaching centers or hire faculty members whose main mission is teaching.
