概要: 金沢大学理工研究域機械工学系<br />In order to investigate the effects of temperature, relative humidity and strain rates on the stress -strain curve of spandex yarn, tensile tests were performed under many kinds of conditions including impact tests.Stres-strain curves of spandex yarn were obtained on 7 levels in temperature ranging from 243 K to 333 K.Making an approximation with a linear equation, the relation between the modulus E obtained at the temperature ranging from 273 K to 333 K and the temperature was E=E20 (1 +KTΔT). Where E20. was the modulus at 293 K in temperature (=1.0 × 10-2N/tex), KT was the coefficient that gave the change in modulus with the change of 1 K in temperature (=-1.8 x 10-2 K-1) and ΔT was the discrepancy in temperature from 293 K. Under 273 K in temperature, the increase in the modulus with the decrease in temperature was much larger than the slope of the approximate line.In relative humidity ranging from 35 to 95% RH, 5 levels of tensile tests gave the following relation ; E=E65, (1+KHΔH), where E65. was the modulus at 65% RH (= 8.0 x 10-3N/tex), KH was the coefficient that gave the changein modulus with the change of 1% in relative humidity (=7.2 × 10-3) and ΔH was the discrepancy from 65% RH.Tensile tests on 7 levels in strain rates ranging from 1.67 × 10-3 to 147s-1 were performed. The relation of E=E1 (1 +Kv, log ε) between the modulus and the strain rate was approximately expressed by a linear equation.Where E1 was the modulus at 1 s-1 in strain rate (=1.0 × 10-2 N/tex), Kv was the coefficient that gave the change in modulus with the change of one order in strain rate.<br />出版社照会後に全文公開 続きを見る

概要: 金沢大学理工研究域機械工学系<br />目的 : ダブルツィスタでフィラメント撚糸を製造するときのバルーン形状および糸にかかる張力をスピンドルディスクの形状および撚糸条件から理論的に求める方法を提案するとともに実験により確認する.成果 : 1) バルーン解析により, ダブルッイスタにおける張力は無次元数Kb/m, h/bから求められる.ここでKは空気抗力に関する定数, bは糸がスピンドルを離れるところの半径, mは糸の線密度で, hはbからガイドまでのバルーン高さである.2) バルーン形成時, あるKb/m以下では糸はスピンドルディスクの円すい面に接するようにして離脱する.このとき, スピンドルディスクの頂角が大きくなるに従ってKb/mの上限値は小さくなる.3) 上記のKb/mの上限値より大きい範囲では, 糸はスピンドルディスクの上端より離脱する.このとき張力は上端の半径と同じ円柱の場合の計算値に近づく.バルーンの形状も同様である. The tension in a filament yarn twisted by two-for-one twister was calculated theoretically by use of the twisting conditions and this calculation is compared with experimental results.1) As results of analyzing the balloon theory, the yarn tension can be estimated from the nondimensional number Kb/m and h/b where K is proportional constant for air-drag, b is radius where the yarn leaves the spindle disk, m is linear density of the yarn and h is the balloon height from the point where the yarn leaves the spindle disk to the guide.2) The region of Kb/m where the yarn leaves from the conical plane decreases with increasing the apex angle of the conical spindle disk.3) For the larger value of Kb/m, the yarn takes off the upper edge of the spindle disk and tension is the same that the yarn takes off the cylindrical spindle disk that has the same radius as its upper edge.<br />出版社照会後に全文公開 続きを見る

概要: 金沢大学理工研究域機械工学系<br />The yarn detecting system is developed using the air pressure variation caused by a yarn running thr ough a pipe. The optimum detecting conditions for several kinds of yarns are examined. The processing technique is also investigated to judge a yarn passing through a pipe at higher degree of accuracy. The system is composed of a yarn detecting block, a pressure sensor and a personal computer. It can stably detect even 20 D spandex yarn that was impossible to be detected. Results obtained are as follows : (1) Pressure variation increases with the area which a yarn occupies in a pipe. For example, larger pressure variations are observed when a yarn has larger diameter, more filaments separate and a yarn has more fuzz.Spandex yarn which has large flexibility shows much larger pressure variation because it flows into a branch pipe. It also shows larger pressure oscillation caused by its extension and/or compression. (2) The supplied pressure to an ejector has little effect on the pressure variation except for a spandex yarn. The pressure variations are also emphasized when a branch pipe is tilted in the yarn entrance direction. (3) Pressure variations must be distinguished from the oscillations of the air flow in a pipe, because the pressure variation caused by a yarn passing through a pipe is very small. In the yarn detecting system, low-pass filter circuits and average processing with a personal computer are useful for increasing the accuracy to judge a yarn passing through a pipe.<br />出版社照会後に全文公開 続きを見る

概要: 金沢大学理工研究域機械工学系<br />目的巻糸体を回転させる工程において大気圧が回転動力に及ぼす影響について, 周囲の空気をかく拝する動力と糸を解じょさせるための動力の両面から検討することを目的とした.成果かく絆動力は電動機の反力を, 解 じょの動力はラッシングエンド半径を測定する方法によって次の結果を得た.(1) 圧力と空気の密度はほぼ比例しているので, 周囲の空気をかく搾する動力は圧力の減少にともなって0.8乗に比例して小さくなる.(2) 減圧をするとラッシングエンド半径は広がり, これを保っための動力は増加する.バルーンの場合も同様である.減圧の小さい場合, 繊度の小さい糸では半径の広がりも小さいが, 繊度の大きい糸は広がりも大きく動力の増加割合も大きい.(3) 上記の結果, 繊度の小さい糸で巻糸体径が大きい場合は圧力を減じるとエネルギー低減効果がみられる. The relationship between the atmospheric pressure and the energy consumption was studied in the process of rotating yarn package. Both powers caused by the force of stirring the air around the yarn package and by the tension of unwinding a yarn were investigated at several kinds of atmospheric pressure. The power in order to stir the air was obtained by means of measuring the power of the motor to rotate the yarn package and the power in order to unwind a yarn was obtained by means of measuring the lashing-end radius. Results obtained are as follows : (1) The. power to stir the air around the yarn package varies proportionally to 0.8 power of the atmospheric pressure around it, because the air density is almost in proportion to the atmospheric pressure.(2) The lashing-end radius increases with reducing atmospheric pressure, so the power to keep the shape of the lashing-end curve increases. The ballooning phenomenon also has the similar tendency. Under small amount of pressure reduction, a fine yarn has a little enlarged lashing-end radius, on the contrary, a thick yarn largely increases its lashing-end radius, the power loss largely increases.(3) For the reason above, reducing atmospheric pressure takes effect for saving energy in the case of a fine yarn and of a large package.<br />出版社照会後に全文公開 続きを見る

概要: 金沢大学理工研究域機械工学系<br />目的 ヤング率の異なる糸を用いてっば付ボビン上に巻糸体を形成した際の巻糸体内部の応力分布状態をモデル実験を通して求める.また, 巻糸体内部の応力によるっば付ボビンの変形について有限要素法により解析する .成果 (1) 糸層がつば付ボビンの芯筒を圧縮する荷重は糸のヤング率が小さいほど大きく, その荷重増加の割合は糸層の増加に伴い小さくなる.(2) 糸層がボビンのつばを圧縮する荷重は糸のヤング率が小さいほど大きく, その荷重増加の割合は糸層の増加に伴い大きくなる.(3) 巻糸体はボビンのつばよりも芯筒を強く圧縮する.(4) 巻糸体内部応力によるつば付ボビンの変形は, 糸のヤング率が小さいほど大きく, つばのつけ根付近での変位が最も大きくなる. Stress distribution in the yarn package wound on the flanged bobbin is made clear by using the data of model experiment on which yarn packages are formed by several kinds of yarn that has different Young's modulus. They are also useful for obtaining the deformation of the flanged bobbin using the finite element analysis. The following results are obtained.(1) The smaller Young's modulus of the yarn, the larger the radial load compressing the barrel of the flanged bobbin. Increasing rate of the radial compressive stress decreases with accumulated yarn layer.(2) The smaller Young's modulus of the yarn, the larger the axial load expanding the flanges of the bobbin. Increasing rate of the axial expanding load increases with cumulated yarn layer.(3) The radial load compressing the barrel of bobbin is larger than the axial load expanding its flanges.(4) The smaller Young's modulus of the yarn, the larger the flanged bobbin deforms by internal stess in yarn package.The maximum deformation is generated near the root of its flanges.<br />出版社照会後に全文公開 続きを見る

概要: 金沢大学理工研究域機械工学系<br />目的 衝撃域を含む種々のひずみ速度においてPAN系炭素繊維束の応カーひずみ曲線を求あ, その機械的性質に及ぼすひずみ速度の影響を明らかにする.成果 4種類のPAN系炭素繊維について3.3×10-3s- 1~4.0×102s-1の範囲の6種類のひずみ速度において8tex程度の繊維束に対して引張試験を行い, 各ひずみ速度における応カーひずみ曲線を得た.いずれの試料, ひずみ速度においても炭素繊維束の応カーひずみ曲線は厳密な直線よりはやや下に凸の形状を示し, 特に降伏現象がみられずに破断した.引張弾性率はひずみ速度の対数に対して直線的に増加した.また, 破断ひずみはひずみ速度の対数に対してほぼ直線的に減少した.一方, 破断応力は実験毎にかなりのばらつきを示し, ひずみ速度の影響は小さかった.Stress-strain curves of four kinds of PAN based carbon fiber stratds whose fineness were about 8tex wereobtained at six strain rates ranging from 3.3 x 10-3s-1 to 4.0 X 102s-1. The stress-strain curves were almost straight, slightly downwards convex and showed little yielding phenomena for any specimens at any strain rates. The elastic modulus linearly increased with the logarithmic plot of strain rates. The breaking elongation linearly decreased with the logarithmic plot of strain rates. The simulated yarn was constructed with the cross-sections consisting of the mass-points connected by the springs within the mass-points. In the simulated yarn, two types of springs were used to describe tensile and bending behaviour of the model. The geometrical knitted loop structure was constructed by setting the cross-sections of the simulated yarn in the loop model considering with the loop parameters. 概要: 金沢大学理工研究域機械工学系<br />Friction, a quality-related property, governs not only the efficiency of processing operations but a lso the quality and performance of the final product. In this work, the frictional characteristics of 100 % polyester,nylon, and polypropylene spunbond nonwoven fabrics bonded with three bonding patterns and the differences in fabric density were tested. A whisker-type tactile sensor machine that can measure the coefficient of friction regardless of the tracing direction was used. Stick-slip trace changes according to the fabric surface morphology were observed. 概要: 金沢大学理工研究域機械工学系<br />In processing synthetic fiber yarn, a lot of rollers are rotated at high-speed. Power loss for rotat ing such rollers has become larger and larger according to increasing yarn processing speed. Former studies proposed that power consumption for rotating yarn package might be reduced by 30% by locating the cover around it in order to limit the air flow. It is important to limit the air flow for saving power consumption. Now it becomes possible to calculate much more complex flow because of development of both the hard-ware of the personal computer and the software for computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis. The present study focused on air flows around a single drawing roller as the first step of a series of studies in which we are going to numerically analyze air flows around drawing rollers to clarify the effect of structures of their covers on the reduction of power consumption to rotate them. The comparison of experimentally measured power consumption with corresponding computational results has identified the validity of the present CFD analysis. The CFD analysis also confirmed that the energy-saving effect of the cover exists even if there is a slit on the cover in order to thread air stream caused by high-speed yarn running.<br />出版者照会後に全文公開 続きを見る

概要: Double-stack disk friction units were used to produce good, high-crimp yarn like wool and the results were compared to c onventional triple-stack disk friction units. The quality of false-twist textured yarn from disk friction spindles is very strongly influenced by unit operating conditions and untwisting tension. The authors previously proposed a method to derive tension and untwisting tension in the yarn given the twisting tension and yarn path in double-stack disk friction units. In this study our goal was to calculate both yarn path and yarn tension. We were able to compare and confirm that the calculated yarn path and yarn tension closely matches experimental results. In addition, we succeeded in using our model to predict conditions for guide hole to produce false-twist yarn. The validity of our model was proven by the results. We have succeeded for the first time in calculating approximate yarn path and yarn tension for the false-twist process in disk friction spindle units. 概要: Based on the structural analysis of sample knitted fabrics and the knit geometric theory, we have built an algorithm tha t can make three-dimensional structure models for weft knitted fabrics such as welt stitches, tuck stitches, cross stitches, rib stitches and purl stitches. In order to reduce computational complexity, we have set the anchoring point on the diametral plane of yarn in the knitting chart. Drawing from the beginning knitting point to the finished knitting point, a smooth knit curve model can be obtained with the cardinal spline curve. Using this algorithm, we have developed the weft knit three-dimensional structure modeling software that can display the three-dimensional model of knitted fabrics including welt stitches; tuck stitches, cross stitches, rib stitches and purl stitches. Our work confirms 3-D modeling of three foundation knits of weft knit (plain stitches, purl stitches, rib stitches), tuck stitches, welt stitches and cross stitches with a commercially available PC. 概要: In order to understand the relationship between the internal defects of yarn structures and the mechanical properties of yarn, we developed a yarn model which consists of mass and three types of springs for expression and construction, and bending. The yarn model can express the Euler buckling phenomenon depending on its bending stiffness. 概要: Weave, yarn density, yarn count, fiber material and so on of woven fabrics greatly affect their surface characteristics. Surface characteristics of a fabric are important factor for consumers and textile producers in order to evaluate its fabric hand. However, there is no simple system to easily measure its surface characteristics. This study uses a simple tactile sensor that can measure the friction coefficients of fabric surfaces and tries to evaluate their surface characteristics from obtained values. We traced surfaces of plural fabrics that differ in yarn, weave and yarn density with the tactile sensor, and measured variation of the friction coefficients with respect to the trace distance. This study introduces some evaluation values from the measured variation of the friction coefficients and compares them with results by KES, which is the ordinary system to evaluate surface characteristics of a fabric. As a result, the study confirmed that proposed method easily evaluates the geometrical and frictional properties of woven fabrics as their fabric hand, and also can estimate the yarn density of woven fabric by analyzing the oscillation period of variation of friction coefficient. 続きを見る

概要: Drawing-in process on covering machines is so difficult and inefficient that its automation is especially hoped. However the automatic drawing-in system developed in order to improve drawing-in operation is not able to distinguish whether the core yarn is successfully drawn into the hollow spindle or not. So we developed a detecting system for fine Spandex, applying pressure variation in pipe flow caused by yarn behavior. Results obtained are as follows : (1) Pressure variation can check the presence of Spandex when it runs through, a small air flow pipe. (2) This detecting system consists of a diaphragm type pressure sensor, a small pipe and a simple sequence program. (3) The system can detect Spandex yarns from 30D to 420D that are widely used and too thin to sense even by manual operation. And it is confirmed that the system has practical utility. (4) The system is installed on the automatic yarn drawing-in device. When the system distinguish the failure to draw Spandex into hollow spindles, the failed Spandex package is removed and drawing-in is again attempted with another package on the same spindle. 概要: The friction force acting on a yarn when twisted and for warded by the rotating disks of a false twisting unit is analyzed by the force balanced equations. The related mechanics is presented in basically the same formulation as reported earlier but the rotational motion of a yam around its axis is newly taken into account besides the traveling in the axial direction. The analysis can evaluate separately two components of the friction force;one twists the yarn and another pushes the yarn forward. Further the change in yam path on the disk surface as well as in yam tension is simulated by integrating a set of differential equations. Also is proposed the way to cast the equations into dimensionless ones by which numerical case studies can be appreciably reduced in the number of trials. 続きを見る

概要: In the friction-twist processing using a multi-friction-disk unit, which is applied widely to manufacture the “textured yarn”, the yarn is constrained to contact with the disks one after another. The inclination angle and wrapped angle on the individual disk surface are very significant factors for the designer to estimate the value of the generated twist and the tension. The main purpose of this paper is to measure these angles formed on each of the multi-disks in frictiontwisting device used in manufacturers. The second purpose is to compare these angles obtained by experiment with the values which are estimated by the theory reported in our recent articles.The experimental inclination angle is slightly greater than the calculated value on the assumption that yarn path forms a geodesic line on the disk surface. On the other hand, the contact thickness which is calculated by the wrapped angle was in good agreement with observations in the experiment. The yarn path was plotted on the overlap triangle which is the over-view representing the overlapped part of the disks. Then, it was found that the suitable disk size gave a symmetrical yarn path except the entrance disks, while the disks which had excessive diameters could not realize a symmetrical yarn path. 続きを見る

概要: This research is aimed at developing a computer aided design system for a traditional tie-dyeing craft named “Shibori”. These products of folk crafts are made with the manual labors and their processes are divided into a lot of practiced hand works. In addition their manufacturing processes are dispersed to different regions. So the practiced hand works of the “Drawing / Pattern carving Shibori” process decrease in number. Producing Shibori products may become difficult because anyone cannot plan the Shibori products in the future. If the “Drawing / Pattern carving Shibori” process is simplified by computerizing, we can record the Shibori technology and can also design Shibori products easily. In this report, therefore, we developed both a CAD system for “Drawing” process in order to simplify its process and keep skilled hands of Shibori products, and a CAM system for “Pattern carving Shibori” process using CAD data. This CAD system is useful for “Mokume-Shibori” to make their stitch images by means of its small scale modification. One of these sources of noise is the collision sound of healds caused by shedding motion. It was clarified in our previous paper that the collision sound of healds is significantly connected with motion of heald during a period of shedding motion. In this research, therefore, photographs of the behavior of heald in a shedding period were taken by using a high-speed-camera system on a model shedding device. At the same time, noise was measured to investigate the collision sound of healds. Collision between healds and heald bar caused by heald jumping and the collision of healds were observed. It was confirmed that noise is the largest at the both collision timings. On the other hand, it has been already understood that the tension of warp yarn significantly affects the behavior of heald. It was also observed that the collision of heald and heald bar was delayed or eliminated with increasing tension of warp yarn by photographic observation. 概要: 金沢大学理工研究域機械工学系<br />The path followed by and the tension generated along a yarn under a false-twist process using an enl arged model unit of a doubly stacked multi-disk spindle are measured and analyzed on the basis of a theory, an extension of authors' earlier proposition. The geometrical quantities necessary to reproduce the yarn path, i.e. the inclination angle made by the yarn against a disk surface, the length along which the yarn runs on the disk, etc., are estimated from the CCD image of the yarn configuration. The twisting tension, the inter-disk yam tension, and the untwisting tension of the running yarn are also detected. It is revealed that the theoretical analysis can successfully elucidate and predict the inter-disk yam tension as well as the relation between the twisting tension and the untwisting tension only if the yarn configuration is observed. 概要: Although the false-twisting by means of a friction disk unit is an efficient technique widely applied to manufacture the synthetic fiber yarns conventionally called `textured yarns', the fundamental mechanics operating in the processing, especially the relationship between frictional and extensional forces and paths which a yarn experiences when twisted, is not sufficiently in vestigated to date. This series of reports aims to establish a theory that describes the mechanical behaviors of a yarn in the false-twisting process using a friction disk unit, and to obtain basic information about the yarn path and the frictional forces acting on the yarn . In the theoretical part of this article, the forces balance equations, which determined a yarn path contacting with the toric surface of a single false-twisting-disk unit, were developed on the basis of differential geometry of curved surfaces. In the experimental part, the path shape of a yarn contacting with the toric surface of twisting disk was photographed and simultaneously the yarn tension was measured under several combinations of processing conditions : the yarn entrance direction and feed velocity, the rotational speed of the twisting disk, etc.The data obtained coincided fairly with analytical estimations and the presented scheme was confirmed to be valid for predicting the behaviors of a yarn in the false-twisting processing using a friction disk unit . 続きを見る

It was clarified in our previous report that the sound caused by shedding motion was significantly connected with heald motion during a period of shedding motion. In this report, therefore, its frequency characteristic was investigated using a Short Time Fourier Transform in order to relate the sound to the heald motion in a period of shedding motion. Power spectrum of sound showed a feature near the upper dead point of shedding motion when healds collided the heald bar. Superposing sound pressure signals during several periods of shedding motion, we found that some peaks of power spectrum were emphasized near the upper dead point of shedding motion. 続きを見る

概要: Drawing-in process into hollow spindles on covering machines is so difficult and inefficient that its automation is especially hoped. The automatic drawing-in system, installed onto the vehicle individually driven wheels that runs around the factory floor, is developed in order to improve drawing-in operation. Results obtained are as follows : (1) The auto-doffing system is composed of the automatic yarn draw-in apparatus, which can draw Spandex in both upper and lower hollow spindles simultaneously by air flow, and a vehicle which runs in contact with the covering machine. (2) The developed device can draw-in 30D, 70D, 140D Spandex that are widely used and too fine to be easily drawn-in even by manual operation. Success rate more than 90% of Spandex drawing-in can be obtained by supplying the air pressure for the ejector at 0.5 MPa and for the injector at 0.4 MPa. 概要: It is important to improve the rates of success on drawing-in operation of the auto-doffer for the covering machine. Saving air consumption for drawing-in operation can bring about the total energy saving on the doffing operations. In this report, various conditions on the drawing-in operations are investigated in order to improve its success rates and to reduce its air consumption. Experiments were performed with changing supplied pressures for the injector and for the ejector, yarn feed speeds and their working time. Acting forces such as the air drag on a spandex yarn were measured and the behaviors of a running yarn were observed during the drawing-in operations. Results obtained are as follows : (1) Each yarn has the unique drawing-in condition in order to improve the rate of success. The higher pressure does not always bring about the higher rate of success for the injector, but for the ejector within the limits of these experiments. (2) The fine tuning in the working time of the injector or the ejector is not so significant because the yarn in the hollow spindle is extended cyclically by the turbulent air flow. The governing factor for the successful drawing-in operation is the yarn capture at the suction entrance. Yarn feed tuning by means of some pooling devices is prefer to the yarn feed rollers. (3) The velocity of air jet from subsonic to sonic region is the most efficient for drawing-in operation. Further pressure causes the air flow disturbance that may induce the yarn troubles. 続きを見る

概要: Air drag force on a nylon monofilament yarn in a confined jet was measured as a basic study for operating yarn by airflow, for example; for weft-insertion, for holding the yarn end, for adjusting yarn tension and for drawing yarn into a hollow spindle. The relative velocity of airflow around a yarn was expanded up to 300 m/s. Previously, this had been investigated up to 100 m/s. Both the supplying air pressure and combinations of nozzles and pipes changed diffusion of the flow in a pipe. Air drag force increased extremely if the primary stream acted on the yarn directly when the jet from the nozzle was directed at very high speed (around sonic velocity). Yarn was often stuck inside the pipe by the airflow when very thin pipes were used. When this occurred, air drag force was reduced to half. The air drag coefficient Cf for monofilament yarn has been arranged using the radius Reynolds number, Rea, for suction flow with lower than 100 m/s. The formula, Cf = KRea-n, has been applied for suction flow under 500 in Rea. Cf could be arranged in the same manner for annular jet or confined jet if airflow acted on a yarn in the pipe uniformly. This formula, then, is also available even for very high velocity over 100 m/s. According to these results, we were able to calculate air drag force on monofilament yam. We anticipate applying this to the other kinds of yarn, and expect air power savings and improvement in yarn operation. 続きを見る

概要: When tension acts on a yarn running on a cylindrical bobbin, the yarn leaves for a new equilibrium position and draws a curve on its surface. In this paper, we assumed that the yarn was free to bend, but did not stretch and that its inertial force was negligible compared to the external forces such as reaction force and friction force. The force balance equations, which determined a yarn path contacting with a curved surface, were developed in vector form on the basis of differential geometry. We derived a set of differential equations describing the space curve drawn by the yarn traveling on the cylindrical surface. Two experiments were compared with the simulations. The measured yarn path and tension for two actual examples turned out that the parabola obtained by our simulation was a fairly good approximation for the yarn path sliding on a cylindrical surface. 続きを見る

概要: Doffing operation for the covering machine has been already automated by the auto drawing-in apparatus loaded on the autonomous vehicle. The vehicle repeats moving and stop while measuring its position and attitude with a pair of laser displacement sensors. In this report, control methods for this autonomous vehicle are investigated to approach the initial operating position rapidly, to break away at the end of the covering machine, and to turn around it. Fuzzy control was applied to the path tracking that the autonomous vehicle approaches the initial operating position of the covering machine. It obtains much rapider response than the method in which the front wheel takes on the reference path. Using this advantage of fuzzy control, it enables the vehicle to turn back over the side of the covering machine with stability. By means of this, the autonomous vehicle can directly use the machine frame as a guide way without any additions extraordinary to the covering machine. 続きを見る

概要: In a disk type friction false twisting process, the angle of inclination between the yarn path and the disk axis is a very important factor in relation to the tension and the twisting torque over the disk surface. According to this angle, the yarn in contact with the rotating disk receives the frictional force that twists the yarn and sends it to the forward direction. A triple-stack multi-disk spindle unit is used widely in actual draw texturing process. The main purpose of this paper is to give more precise angle of inclination in this spindle unit using the differential geometry of the yarn path over the disk surface. The angle of inclination was calculated in the actual range of the disk diameter, the radius of the disk edge, the distance between the central plane of two successive disks and the distance between the two disk centers of spindle unit. The angle of inclination obtained in this investigation gave the smaller value than angles obtained by previous studies. The angle of wrap was calculated at the same time. The effect of the radius of the disk edge on the angle of inclination and wrap was explained for the first time. 続きを見る

In this report, doffing mechanisms for covered yarn bobbins are developed.A new type cradle system is also proposed, in which both side arms can turn outside in order to correspond to the doffing mechanisms for covered yarn bobbins. Further more, our auto-doffer for covering machines has proposed the means to automate the preparation process of covered yarn in the small mills. 概要: It becomes important to understand dynamic properties of moving parts of the loom according to increasing speed on the jet loom. There is no-information, however, for the heald vibration generated in the shedding motion of the loom. In this report, natural frequencies of the transverse vibration forhealds are investigated by means of impulsive resonance. Frequency resonances are obtained for ten kinds of commercial flat healds those differ in their length, thickness or material by using animpacthummer equipped with a load sensor and a laser displacement sensor system. The natural frequency of a flat heald can be roughly estimated on the assumption that it has an uniform rectangular cross section. It is also found that the first natural frequency of the transverse vibration for the flat heald supported on its both ends exists slightly higher than its actual driving speed. 続きを見る

概要: Double covered yarn is produced by an double covering machine equipped with hundreds pairs of upper and lower hollow spi ndles. Drawing Spandex to be a core yarn of covered yarn into the hollow spindles is so complicated that its automation is especially hoped. So we developed an auto drawing-in apparatus that could draw Spandex in both upper and lower hollow spindles simultaneously. Results obtained are as follows : (1) The auto drawing-in apparatus comprises both an injector and an ejector. Spandex was drawn into the lower spindle by the injection flow driven by the injector and was drawn from the upper spindle by the suction flow driven by the ejector. (2) Drawing-in was performed for a model covering machine by the developed auto-doffing apparatus. It could draw-in 20D Spandex that was widely used and was too thin to be easily drawn-in even by a manual doffing operation. So this confirmed that the developed auto-doffing apparatus had practical utility in drawing -in operation . (3) The rates of success of Spandex drawing-in is influenced by the supplied air pressure for the injector, the supplied air pressure for the ejector and the feed rate of Spandex. High certainty of Spandex drawing-in could be accomplished by the proper arrangement of those conditions. 目的 ダブルカバリングマシンによるカバード糸製造時における中空スピンドルへの芯糸通しは作業上ネックとなっており, 自動化が期待されている。そこで上下の中空スピンドルに一度に芯糸を通すことのできる自動芯糸通し装置を開発する.成果 (1) 一対の空気噴き出し口と空気吸い込み口により構成される芯糸通し装置を試作した.装置は下スピンドル下部より噴き出し流を, 上スピンドル上部より吸い込み流を作用させることによって芯糸を中空スピンドルに引き通す. (2) モデルカバリングマシンに対し試作した装置に芯糸通し作業を行わせ, 多用されている20Dのスパンデックスを通すことができた. (3) 芯糸通しの成功率は, 噴き出し口供給圧, 真空エジェクタ供給圧, 芯糸送出速度により変化することがわかった.適切な条件を設定することで高い成功率をおさめることができた. 続きを見る

One of the authors used the heald frames equipped with bar magnets in order to reduce the heald vibration, and reported that the disorder of the heald motion during shedding motion was improved. Then, sound heard by human ears seemed reduced, but there was no significant difference in the noise level measured with the noise-level meter. In this report, therefore, the high response sound measuring system was arranged in order to obtain the time chart of sound pressure level caused by healds during shedding motion. High-speed video-camera was also used in order to observe the healds motion. It was clarified that the noise was significantly connected with healds motion during shedding motion. 概要: The vehicle type auto-doffing system for the covering machine is proposed in order to give a concrete form to draw core yarn into its hollow spindles. Results obtained are as follows : (1) From the viewpoint of doffing operations, the features of the covering machine are as follows ; the dimensions between its bottom position of the core yarn package and its top position of the take up package is too large for operators to handle packages easily, and a large number of operations to exchange yarn packages are needed for a series of doffing operation. Therefore, its automation is required strongly. The subjects are specified and the plans to settle them are clarified. (2) We develop the vehicle type auto-doffing system equipped with two drive wheels and two casters, controlled by individually driven wheel method that the right and left wheels revolve individually. It is able to exchange the core yarn packages continuously moving in contact with the straight frame of covering machine. 続きを見る

概要: Autonomous vehicle is developed corresponding to conventional type covering machine which has slightly indented spindles and the curved frames. It is controlled to stop at proper position for doffing operations. (1) A pair of laser displacement sensors enable the autonomous vehicle to obtain the high positioning accuracy. It is efficient to improve the sensing faculty for vehicle control underthe bad environment where slipage easily occurs or there is often disturbance. (2) Moving vehicle experiment confirms the efficiency of the feedback control. It enables stop accuracy about ± 3mm for preparating operation of manufacturing covered yarns, such as drawing-in a core yarn. (3) Using the laser displacement sensor which has ± 40mm in measurement range, the vehicle is able to correspond for less then 10mm in side disturbance, 5mm in vertical disturbance, and 1% in slope of floor. 続きを見る

概要: 金沢大学理工研究域機械工学系<br />Knot strength is very important in processing ropes than other textile products. Thus double sheet b ends are usually used in rope mills, because their knots are small and strong in order to tie two threads of yarn. These knots have been made by manual operation. These mills, therefore, are demanding to be able to make these knots automatically in order to improve process efficiency. In this study, we have developed a knotter which is able to form a double sheet bend by using a set of molds. First, we designed a path to carve tracks on the surface of the mold by using the Dowker notation. But this path was too complicated to thread yarn through the path easily. Furthermore, it is desired that the knotter can be carried by a worker in rope mills. We, therefore, have moved and/or composed paths in order to obtain the simpler path for double sheet bends. Finally, we have integrated these molds and instruments such as air cylinders and linear guide ways in order to make a double sheet bend knot automatically. © 2008 The Textile Machinery Society of Japan. 続きを見る

概要: 金沢大学理工研究域機械工学系<br />Making knot is important work in the textile industry. Now, devices which make knots such as knotter s and splicers are spread. However these devices cannot make all knots used in the textile industry, thus workers still make knots by their hand in some textile mills. These mills, therefore, demand to make knots automatically. In this study, we used a set of parts which is called a mold, to make various knots. Tracks corresponding to each knot must be carved on the surface of a mold. However experience by practice is needed to design a mold, thus a logical design process is demanded for anyone to design tracks. 概要: 金沢大学理工研究域機械工学系<br />Various kinds of airflow are used for operating yarn during textile processes. In this study, we cal culated numerically compressible airflows past a yarn in a thin pipe in order to operate yarn using both a circular jet and an annular jet. We proposed the way to arrange air drag coefficients of yarns by Reynolds numbers adopted the yarn length exposed to the airflow as the representative length for the higher range of pressured airflows taking their compressibility into consideration. Simulated results elucidated both the air velocity and density profiles in a thin pipe for both jets. In the circular jet, the influence of the potential core was strong but it disappeared comparatively earlier. At higher supplying pressure, the compressed air was not able to fully accelerate in the pipe because it kept high density and took under-expansion. On the other hand, in the annular jet, the influence of the potential core was small, thus the compressed air fully accelerated and expanded in the pipe even at higher supplying pressure. Furthermore, yarn operation experiments showed that increasing supplying pressure was not effective to accelerate yarn running speed, and yarn troubles such as yarn twist or entanglement occurred at supplying pressure higher than 0.3MPa for both jets. © 2006 The Textile Machinery Society of Japan. 続きを見る

概要: 金沢大学理工研究域機械工学系<br />単純な構造で摩擦係数が測定可能な触覚センサを製作し,同センサを布地表面に押しあてて回転させながらなぞり,布の動摩擦係数を測定する手法を開発した。多様な布試料に対して直線なぞりによる表面特性と回転なぞり による表面特性を比較し,回転なぞりによる手法は,直線なぞりと同等の表面特性を布の全ての方向に対して短時間で収集することが可能であることを示した。計測された動摩擦係数の変動や周波数解析結果から,布の異方性をも考慮に入れて摩擦特性,幾何学特性などを簡便に提示し,布の風合いを評価できることを示した。<br />We have developed a simple tactile sensor that has been able to measure the friction coefficients of fabric surfaces and have evaluated their surface and/or geometric characteristics. We have traced surfaces of many kinds of fabrics rotationally those differ in weave, yarn material and yarn density with our tactile sensor, and have measured variation of the friction coefficients with respect to the dragging angle. We have also compared these data obtained by rotationally dragging with the data obtained from the traditional linearly dragging method and confirmed that our rotationally dragging measurement system could quickly measure dynamic friction data for the whole direction and each friction datum had equivalent accuracy as traditional linearly dragging method. 概要: 連続炭素繊維を熱可塑性樹脂に予め含浸しテープ状に細くスリットしたテープ(以下CFRTPテープ)を用い、組紐形成時においてテープが中空円筒表面を隙間なく覆い、折れ曲がることがないような編組条件を探索し、熱間プレスした試料を作成し、曲げ強度で8 00MPa、曲げ弾性率で100GPaを超えるCFRTPパイプを得ることができた。この成果は当初目的の「同一質量の鋼構造物と比較して5倍以上の機械的強度」に対して、鋼の比重7.8、CFRPの比重1.5を勘案すると、曲げ強度において目標を大きく上回ることができた。<br />Braid-press forming was developed for manufacturing hollow tube parts made of carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic (CFRTP) tape. The CFRTP tapes were manufactured by slitting Uni Direction sheet which impregnate opened continuous carbon fibers along the fiber axis with thermoplastic resin into tape form thin. They were braided to make a tube, which was consolidated under pressure and heat in the press forming process. At the braid formation, braiding tapes and the middle end tapes covered up emptiness cylinder surface without a gap.The mechanical properties of the obtained pipes were larger than 800 MPa in bending strength and were larger than 100 GPa in bending modulus.
