後哲学者が議論するようになってきた経緯を論点整理とともに明らかにした。 2.「人間原理」は、「コペルニクス原理」ないし「宇宙原理」と対置されるものであるが、「弱い人間原理」は科学一般の方法を適用したものであり、単なる「選択原理」と同等であり、「人間」とか「観測」といった言葉は誤解を生む可能性があることを明らかにした。哲学的にみて重要なのは「強い人間原理」であり、それがいかなる意味で目的論的説明であるのか(あるいはないのか)を明らかにした。 3.人間原理が、宇宙の究極目的、字宙の終焉、地球外生命、進化論と生命の起源などの問題とどう結びついているのかを明らかにした。自然選択説の意義についても検討した。 4.観測選択効果、終末論法などの問題と人間原理の論理的関係を明らかにした。 5.人間原理が、宗教や倫理の問題とどう関連しているかを検討し、人間原理は人格神ではなく、伝統的に自然神学で想定されていたような、創造論あるいはデザイン論での神を問題としており、それは「哲学者の神」であることを明らかにした。しかし、そうした「神」は自然科学的な議論の必然的帰結ではなく、科学とは別次元の哲学的な議論の水準のものである。それはキリスト教の神の問題だけでなく、一般に霊魂(の不滅)の問題、あるいは仏教の輪廻思想の問題などとも関連していることを明らかにした。<br />1.The problem of anthropic principle originate from antiquity, especially anciant Greek philosophy. But now this problems direct source is physical cosmology where the very word "anthropic princile" is coined. 2. Anthropic principle is the opposite of "Copernican principle" or "Cosmological princile". "Weak anthropic princile" is just an application of mere scientific method and is equivalent to "selection princile". So in this case the word "anthropic" or "observation" may lead to a misunderstanding. From the philosophical poit of view, "strong anthropic priniple" is important. In some sense it is a teleological explanation but in other sense it is not. 3.Anthropic principle has logical connection with purpose of the universe, end of the universe, extraterrestrial life, origin and evolution of life, and principle of natural selection. 4.Observation selection effect and Doomsday argument deals with similar problems of anthropic principle. 5.Antropic principle implies ethical or religious meaning. The God or Creater which anthropic principle may introduce is not the personal God but impersonal designer which is the "philosopher's God" supposed by traditional natural theology. The existence of God is not proved by within natural science. 判的考察を展開している。大沢は、アンスコムが指摘した「実践知」と人間的認知の枠組み(フレーム)との間にある深い関わりが存在することを示そうとしている。横山は、人工生命、直列処理とコネクショニズム、民間心理学などのテーマをめぐる議論における、工学的、化学的、そして哲学的という三つの次元の区別の重要性について論じている。柴田は、人間がいかにフレーム問題をうまくすり抜けて相互の言語理解に成功しているかという問題について、伊藤春樹の「浅い指示」の理論の批判的検討を通じて考察している。戸田山、古典的AT研究にとってかわる人工知能研究の新しいアプローチの一つである、ブルックスらの「状況内主体」アプローチに注目し、このアプローチによってフレーム問題は解消する、という主張に対して批判的検討を加えている。柏端は、「フレーム問題」という名のもとに概括されている問題群がいかに発生してくるかを一つの事例に則して示し、これらの問題の適切な類別を試みている。最後に美濃は、戸田山による「ラディカルに自然化された科学哲学」の提唱に対して批判を加えつつ、科学的推論に関する認知科学的研究が従来の科学哲学に及ぼしうる影響について考察している。 この三年間におけるわれわれの研究はかなりの進展を見、一定の成果をあげたと信じているが、当初の目的をすべて達成したとは言い難い。今回の研究をさらに発展結実させるため、今回の研究課題に関わる内容の論文集を同じ研究チームによって公刊することを計画中であることを最後に付記しておきたい。<br />To give a summary of our research results, abstracts of 7 papers constituting our 'REPORT OF RESEARCH RESULTS' (form #(12)) will be shown below, because this REPORT embodies a good part of the results attained by our research these 3 years. Prof. Hattori presents a critical consideration on the question whether the so-called frame problem is resolved or dissolved by connectionism which is a new alternative to the classical approach in the AI research. Prof. Osawa tries to bring out a close connection between 'practical knowledge' in G. E. M. Anscombe's sense and the cognitive frame of human mind. Prof. Yokoyama's paper emphasizes the utmost importance of clearly distinguishing between 3 levels of problem, technological, scientific, and philosophical, when dealing with such themes as artificial life, connectionism, and folk psychology. In the context of a critical discussion on Prof. Haruki Ito's theory of 'shallow reference', Prof. Shibata addresses the question how we human beings can manage mutual linguistic comprehension despite the frame problem. Focusing on the 'Agent-in -Situation' approach proposed by such AI workers as Brooks, Prof. Todayama critically examines the thesis that the frame problem has been dissolved by this approach. Prof. Kashiwabata argues that the so-called frame problem is actually a cluster of various, but related, problems and tries to show how to properly sort out these problems from one another. Lastly, I (Mino) consider how cognitive science's studies of science itself may influence the philosophy of science, through criticizing Prof. Todayama's idea that the philosophy of science should be 'radically naturalized'.
