概要: In this paper, we tried to extract information of driving-state of gas generating sources which are located in an indoor space(e.g. oil stoves, gas ranges and so on) for recognition of human activities and environmental changes. It is necessary for extracting information of driving-state of gas generating sources that not only a signal of gas concentration in an indoor space but also signals of components in gas concentration which depend on each gas generating source are estimated. In this paper, we proposed methods to find appropriate combination of component signals of gas generating sources using Genetic Algorithm(GA). Then, uniqueness and robustness theorem in estimation by our methods are shown in computing simulations. And we shown it is possible to extract information of driving-state of gas generating sources from a gas sensor response in an actual experiment. 続きを見る

概要: Identification of primary factors responsible for indoor environments gas sensor responses is difficult due to the residual components in the room. By removing these components from observed sensor signal, we analyzed the linear components of the gas transfer route. A gas transfer routes, generally expressed by Navier Stokes equation, are non-linear fields. However, gas transfer routes can be approximated to a linear field with reducing flow velocity. We report here a model of indoor flow field generated using a linear system, and applied this model to experimental results. The results of this study indicated that over 90% of residual components of the gas sensor response were linear. Thus, the identification can be improved by reducing residual components from the sensor response using the minimum phase inverse filter. 続きを見る

概要: The housing environment is changing with the change in the energy situation in Japan. The house is gradually becoming an airtight structure to economize energy, and an indoor air-quality is going down. In this study, the gaseous indoor-air pollutants are recognized by a multi-gas sensory system using the OPS5 system which is one of the production systems. The sensory system has six gas sensors. Eight gases are selected as main indoor-air pollutants. They are carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, ammonia, propane, methane, cigarette smoke, ethanol and formaldehyde gases. The concentration of some of these will be calculated by the system. The sensor outputs are input into a computer every 4 seconds. The recognition processes are done in this interval and a specific kind of pollutant is identified. About twenty rules are employed in this system. 続きを見る

概要: Output responses of an tin-oxide gas sensor depends on indoor temperature/humidity, but not on the reacted gas concentrations. The modeling of a gas sensor characteristics curve between gas concentrations and voltage was attempted with respect to a temperature/humidity change, to remove the influence of indoor environment from sensor responses. A characteristics curve was derived as an inverse proportion function and approximated by undecided variables with a plane approximation of temperature/humidity coefficients. The results of this study in a home indicate that each temperature/humidity coefficient is approximate to linear equation in error ranges of 5% and approximate functions of a characteristics curve are in a mean error range of about 1% for a reserved region. 続きを見る
