金沢大学国際基幹教育院外国語教育系<br />in Press本研究課題では、1年半にわたって、中英語で書かれた聖人伝写本の編纂から、中世後期イングランドにおける中世後期イングランドのナショナル・アイデンティティの形成について考察した。イギリスの聖人・聖女伝を収めた中英語・ラテン語聖人伝の全体像を把握し、研究対象となる写本の選定を行い、ケーススタディとして、北部イングランドの聖女伝に焦点を当てた。その後、未刊行テクストの転写を行い、テクストの精読によって、中世後期 … イングランドにおけるナショナル・アイデンティティの形成の一例を示した。<br />This one-and-a-half-year project focused on the construction of national identity in late medieval England through an analysis of the compilations of Middle English hagiographic manuscripts. First, it examined an overview of hagiographic collections in Middle English and Latin which contain the legends of native saints of the British Isles.
