金沢大学薬学系<br />まず、アポトーシス細胞の貪食を担う受容体を欠損させたショウジョウバエを作成した。その動物では幼虫の期間が長くなり、アポトーシス細胞除去が動物個体の成長に必要とされることがわかった。続いて、貪食不全により残存する負け組細胞の性質を調べるため、貪食受容体欠損動物にCell Competitionをモザイク状に起こす変異を導入した。しかし、本研究の期間内にその個体の解析を完了させるに至らなかった。<br />We generated … a Drosophila line that lacks receptors responsible for the phagocytic removal of apoptotic cells. These flies had prolonged larval stage, indicating the importance of apoptotic cell clearance in growth. To determine the characteristic of' loser cells', which remain in animals due to a defect in phagocytosis, a mosaic mutation for artificial cell competition was introduced into a phagocytosis-deficient fly line.
